SKILLED NURSING

Provide medical and health education, wound care, IV infusion, medication management, pain management, and self-care techniques and prevention strategies. Services that must be provided by a registered nurse, or a licensed practical (vocational) nurse under the supervision of a registered nurse, to be safe and effective.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

The treatment of a physical dysfunction or injury by the use of therapeutic exercise and/or the application of modalities, intended to restore or facilitate normal function or development such as walking, balance and regain normal range of motion within joints.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

The use of productive or creative activities to restore function in activities of daily living; such as dressing, cooking, eating, and common household chores.

SPEECH THERAPY

Treatment of speech defects and disorders, especially through use of exercises and audio-visual aids that develop new speech habits. As well as the treatment of swallowing deficits caused by strokes or other physical disabilities. Speech Therapist can also assist with exercises and strategies to improve and/or manage cognitive deficits.

MEDICAL SOCIAL WORK

MSW provide individuals, families, and caregivers with the holistic support needed to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. Services include advising family caregivers, provide patient education and counseling, and making referrals to other community resources.

HOME HEALTH AIDE

A healthcare professional who provides personal care under the direction of skilled clinician and your physician. The Home Health Aide services you may receive include bathing and other services on the plan of care.

Services Provided

Individualized plan of care developed by your doctor with our clinical team with skilled nursing care, therapy, medication management, pain management, wound care, and infusion therapy.

Who is eligible for 
Home Health Care?
  • Service provided must be a skilled need such as nursing and/or therapy.

  • Must be under the care of a physician who has ordered the treatment and services.

  • Must have an illness or injury which takes a considerable and taxing effort to leave home. (homebound)

What is the Cost?

Home care services are 100% covered by Medicare, Medicaid and covered whole or in part by private health insurance. Call us and our staff can help determine each patient's eligibility (330)491-8161

Do you see patients on the weekends?

Care should happen on your terms, not your agency's Advantage Home Health Services has a nurse on call 24hrs a day 7 days a week. We can provide weekend admissions and visitis as ordered by your physician.

How soon will someone be out to see me once I am home?

 

Our goal is to be in your home within 48 hours of receiving the order. Care can begin sooner or later depending on your needs.
